  2. unable to connect, it will retry two more times. If all three attempts fail,
  3. call back and try again.

  5. If you have a Hayes compatible modem, [lightred]RING [cyan]will appear on your
  6. screen.  Type [lightred]ATA [cyan]and press your <[lightred]ENTER[cyan]> or <[lightred]RETURN[cyan]> key.

  8. If you have some other kind of modem please check your user manual and set
  9. it up to answer the phone when it rings.

  11. Before the system hangs up, you will be given a code number. Write this
  12. code number down. Once a connection is made, you will be asked to reenter
  13. the number. If the numbers match, your access will be upgraded and you will
  14. be allowed into the system.
